About Me

A bit more about who I am and what drives my work

I'm a structural engineering graduate completing my Master of Engineering (Structural) at the University of Technology Sydney, with 2+ years of hands-on construction site experience in India — supervising residential RC projects, coordinating trades, and ensuring compliance with structural drawings and safety standards.

My Master's thesis — Carbon Value Engineering: A Framework for Integrating Embodied CO₂ & Cost Reduction Strategies in Building Design — reflects my commitment to sustainable, efficient structural outcomes. I hold full working rights in Australia (Subclass 485) and a White Card.

What I Bring

  • RC & Steel Design — AS3600, AS4100, AS5100 compliant analysis and design
  • 2+ Years Site Experience — supervised $1.5M+ residential RC projects, zero major non-conformances
  • Structural Analysis — load combinations, ULS/SLS design, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, PLAXIS 2D, ANSYS
  • Estimating & QA — RIB CostX quantity takeoff, quality control, WHS compliance

Tools I Use

  • Analysis & Design: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, Microstran, PLAXIS 2D, ANSYS
  • Drafting & BIM: AutoCAD, Revit (ongoing)
  • Estimating: RIB CostX
  • Codes: AS3600, AS4100, AS5100, AS1720.1, AUSTROADS, AASHTO

Certifications & Portfolio

My ETABS (Udemy) certificate is available for download, and you can grab the compact Portfolio PDF as well.

How I Approach Engineering

🛡️

Safety First

Every design decision prioritizes the safety of people and structures. Code compliance isn't optional—it's fundamental.

Smart & Elegant

Beautiful structures are efficient. I aim for designs that do more with less—cleaner, leaner, more economical.

🌱

Lasting Impact

Good structures endure for decades. I design thinking about sustainability, durability, and impact on people and environment.

🏗️ Site Experience

Over 2 years as a Site Engineer in India, working across residential RC projects — from foundations to roof slabs — with direct responsibility for quality, safety, and schedule.

  • ▸ Supervised residential building projects valued at ~$1.5M (Chennai Civil Construction)
  • ▸ Coordinated 20+ labourers and subcontractors to maintain workflow and reduce schedule delays
  • ▸ Monitored reinforcement placement, formwork, and concrete works — zero major quality non-conformances
  • ▸ Executed setting out, levelling, and concrete pours for foundations, slabs, beams, and columns
  • ▸ Enforced PPE and WHS compliance; maintained daily site records and progress reports

🌿 Research: Carbon Value Engineering (UTS Master's Thesis)

"Carbon Value Engineering: A Framework for Integrating Embodied CO₂ & Cost Reduction Strategies in Building Design" — developed at UTS as part of my Master of Engineering (Structural).

  • ▸ Developed a decision framework linking embodied carbon reduction with structural cost optimisation
  • ▸ Applied to real building typologies relevant to the Australian construction market
  • ▸ Builds on prior published research in geotechnical and concrete materials engineering (Springer, ScienceDirect)

Outside of engineering, I stay current with developments in sustainable construction, structural software, and the evolving Australian building code landscape.
